Petknode Cat Boarding's Shahrul Azuan Adanan and Yushairy Khairuddin were sentenced to 3 months jail by High Court to the maltreatment of 30 cats, which they had left starving, dehydrated and covered in faeces at the “pet hotel” over last year’s Hari Raya holidays. It was reported that more than 100 cats were at Petknode in unhealthy conditions, suffering from wounds and weight loss, while many cats died.
