Is this the boy that went missing from home recently?
There is not short cut to get rid those fleas. Even you defur your dog, still need to perform medicated bath every 2 weeks. Try not to seek products from the shop for now. Need to know the extend of the boy's condition. Go and seek a vets advise.
Also you need to inspect your home esp. the yard or garden area, check if there are any flea colonies around. What other pets you have besides keeping dog?
