Alan. location that you rescued this dog ? my friend lost his female Lab (age about the same 5-6 years with micro chip too) somewhere around New Happy Garden Old Klang Road few months ago.
His search failed to get the dog back. His dog is fat (very flabby) and also with skin diseases. The picture shown looks quite the same as his (I have been visiting him and play with his dog often.
Hope this is his dog .........
