No, this has got nothing to do with it's digestion. Your Vet is wrong. That's just NONSENSE. People used to believe that dogs eating their own feces had digestion issues or something lacking in their food, but usually there is not any underlying medical problem when a dog eats its own feces. If he's otherwise healthy, happy & getting the all clear from the Vet, then he's probably just your average dog. Dogs are dogs & many of them like to eat sh*t. Opportunity + boredom. If you don't pick up after the dog as soon as he eliminates, there is opportunity. If he's not exercised enough, he's bored. Put the two together & you will often get poop eating (coprophagia). The only solution that works 100% of the time to solve this problem is to pick up after him as soon as he eliminates. Hope I helped. @ACC - What do you mean???
