i've read from ur daughter post. amber had actually lost her drive. is not that she doesn't had it initially, coz she's from champ bloodline. when she's @ her puppy stage, her respond is fast. so hv u think y she's getting slow now? the drive need to be build to be stronger, not juz let it fade away as she aged.. the fault is not on amber. is the handler, which is u. repetitive boring routine without much exciting mental stimulation had made ur dog bored of performing in OB. the key is to make OB training fun n exciting. if u juz ask her to sit, stay, down n juz gv treats/praise when she do it. she will lost interest after prolonged period. playtime should b included in between those task. for example: when she had stay for 1 min, throw a frisbee for her to chase or even ask her to jump! if u wish to have a another dog. 1st of all, u must learn d mistake u had done n avoid doing d same on d next dog that u'll acquire. mind to tell u that golden retriever is one of d breed that easiest to train n eager to please d owner. there's no reason why amber cannot excel.
