theraphy dog is a dog who has "healing powers" all sound dog can be a theraphy dog but they have to be very calm with a steady temperamant and not rough. they are used to bring happiness to sick people or children. its called "zoo medicine" in other western countries. theraphy dog are allowed to enter old age homes, orphanages and also hospitals but in malaysia, this is not practise very well cause it does take a lot of dedication esp when it comes to children.
my goldens have changed some people mind set about dogs. we have visited "good muslim" friends before and they dont have any problems with the dogs cause they are well behaved. it requires a lot of work on our side but its worthwhile.
